There is some debate about this, but one thing is hard to deny: clothing is sexy. Whether it's a silk nightgown from Victoria's Secret, a military uniform, the leather jacket of a biker or the riding clothes of an equestrienne, some form of clothing is usually someone else's ideal of "sexy clothing."
What is "Fetish Clothing?"
Fetish wear is usually clothing made of leather, latex, or rubber cut in a specific style to accentuate the body and show it off in a sexually arousing fashion. Fetish wear is a specific genre of clothing and as recognizable as such as swimwear or lingere. Fetish wear's most common characteristic is price; the stuff's expensive. Remember that it is only a fad, after all, and will be as out of style as the discowear of the 1970's... eventually.
So what *is* sexy clothing?
That depends entirely on who you and your lover are. If you like your lover to wear silk, say so- hopefully they'll enjoy the suggestion. Leather, denim, uniform clothing-- allow your imagination to run wild. A more outrageous suggestion is period clothing, such as the 1920's, or the 1400's. And even further out, one could suggest wearing masks to allow fantasy to run riot- animal masks are a popular item in this field
Guide to suspenders and stockings
Let's face it, suspenders and stockings aren't about fashion, and smooth lines are impossible when you're all hooked up - suspenders are about sex. Whether you're skinny or curvy, feeling sexy or just a bit naughty, odds are you will look amazing in suspenders and stockings.
Sizes
Just like bras and knickers, suspender belts come in all styles and sizes (although, alas, only up to around a size 18), so it's important to suit them to your body shape.
# Do: choose a wider, more intricate suspender style if you have a curvy shape, as they will flatter more than single-line suspenders. If you're conscious of a wobbly tummy, opt for knickers with inbuilt suspender belt, or a retro girdle style. If you're on the thin side, lucky you, any style of suspender will suit.
# Don't: be fooled by intricate, deep lace detailing on the top of stockings. Yes, it looks gorgeous, but only if you have long legs. Those with shorter legs should veer towards a smaller band to trick the eye into seeing a longer silhouette.
How to Take Care Your Sexy Lingerie
Now that you've made a serious investment in some very nice womens sexy lingerie, you want it to last for a long time. This means that you'll have to take a few precautions when washing these delicate delights.
To keep your bras and panties from losing their shape, they should be hand washed in cold water and a gentle detergent.
We recommend that to take full advantage of all the new technology used in the fabrics and styles of the lingerie that you purchase, that you should always follow the care instructions inside each garment. This will ensure the durability and longevity of your lingerie.
If hand washing isn't your thing, use a lingerie bag and a delicate cycle on your washing machine and a cool water setting. Ensure that all clasps are done up so that the bras don't get tangled. (Please note that this is always going to be harder on your fine lingerie than a gentle washing by hand.)
Never put bras or panties in the dryer. The intense heat will ruin them. They should be line dried, away from any sunlight (to avoid fading of the colours.)
Most manufacturers consider the average lifespan for a lingerie garment to be approximately 6-8 months. Check your garments carefully... once they begin to lose their shape and elasticity, it's time they were replaced. Proper washing and care of your fine lingerie will extend their life as long as possible
Guide on Corsets
It is possible to lace a corset yourself - although to achieve the four inch reduction it is recommended that you have some assistance. Many enjoy the sensation of being tightly laced in, hence why the popularity of corset are still going strong after all these years.
It is extremely important to remember that wearing a corset can be very tiring. We do not suggest donning a corset for the first time with the intent of wearing it all day. If there is an occasion on the horizon for which you will wish to wear your corset all day, it would be wise to "train" yourself to wear it by starting with a short period of time and adding to the length of wear until you are comfortable in your corset for a full day.
It is personal preference whether you choose to lace the corset full closed or to show a gap at the back. Some choose to show some skin and the intricate lacing. Because of the many adverse health effects, we strongly recommend against the use of corsets for body modification. However, if you must attempt tight lacing, please consult the available literature on doing so in comparative safety.
After some time the corset will start to mould itself around your shape. When this happens it is then possible to tighten the corset 6 inches smaller than the natural size of your waist.
With the correct care, corsets can last for years.
How to Put On Corsets
Loosen all the laces down the back of the corset and wrap the corset around you closing the front busk clasps.
Each corset has bi-directional lacing all the way down the back. At the waist in between each end of lacing are two long tread loops.
First start pulling the loops, tightening from the bust down to waist and then hips to waist. You eventually will start to feel a hugging feeling as the boning begins to contract.
Corset Sizing
When choosing your first corset you must order it 2 - 4 inches smaller than your waist size. This will allow the corset to be worn semi closed to show the back and laces whilst still giving a 2 inch waist reduction. If you choose to full close the laces this will provide a 4 inch decrease.
But if you still wish to have the 4inch reduction AND have the corset semi closed then you must remember to order the corset 6 inches small.
* 18" corset fits natural waist size 22"
* 22" corset fits natural waist size 26"
